The Academic Staff College in Thrissur, established in 2016 under the KUHS Act of 2010, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance academic development. The college occupies a 9000 sq. ft. area on the first floor of Vigyan Bhavan, housing various amenities, including a Board Room, Discussion Rooms, Classrooms, Faculty Rooms, and a Dining Area. In addition, the college provides comfortable accommodation for resource persons on the ground floor, featuring 22 AC Rooms with an equal plinth area of 9000 sq. ft. Further accommodation for delegates is available at the KUHS Evaluation Center, offering 48 AC Rooms. The KUHS headquarters also hosts a 14,000 sq. ft. Simulation Lab, equipped with advanced simulation equipment valued at Rs. 3.5 Cr, including Task Trainers, Sim Man, and Sim Mom. The campus ensures seamless connectivity with high-speed Wi-Fi and provides access to a well-established library with over 2000 reference volumes. Additionally, it participates in the One Nation-One Subscription (ONOS) program by the Government of India. The college also boasts a Digital Recording Studio for creating online videos and live transmission of programs, alongside a CCTV-enabled campus for security and generator backup for uninterrupted operations.      

About KUHS Academic Staff College [ASC]
It is a constituent component of the Kerala University of Health Sciences established under the KUHS Act 2010, Ch II [6] xxiv to administer professional and administrative training to the Teachers and non-teachers of the University for effecting quality improvement.
Location:
 ASC is housed in the First Floor of the Vigyan Bhavan, located in the lush green KUHS Campus characterized by serene surroundings, adjacent to the main Headquarters building, near the Govt Medical College Campus. It has ambient academic infrastructure consisting of Class Rooms, Seminar Halls, Group Discussion Rooms, Library and accommodation facilities for delegates. The sprawling campus is safe with plenty of fresh air.

How to reach ASC:
 From Thrissur: Distance 14km. Taxi Rs. 350-450. Autorikshaw: Rs 200-300. Buses to Medical College are available from Thrissur North Bus Stand. Get down near Casuality. Its 100 meters adjacent to Indian Coffee House / State Bank of India [Utility Building]. Alternatively, take Shornur/ Ottappalam Bus, alight at Velappaya Overbridge stop & take an autorikshaw. Distance is 3km. Those coming by Rail may also consider getting down at Wadakkanchery [8km] or Shornur [25km] stations.
Accommodation: AC / Non AC accommodation on a Twin sharing basis is provided at request in the Evaluation Centre. Lunch and Tea will be provided from ASC, but arrangements for breakfast and dinner are to be made by the delegates. Indian Coffee House is located 50 meters within the campus. Post Office and State Bank of India are also located in the same utility building.
