Kerala University of Health Sciences and NSDC International Sign MoU to Upskill Nursing Students for Overseas Employment

Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) International have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide skill development training to nursing students, enabling them to secure overseas employment. The MoU was signed during a formal function at the Kerala University of Health Sciences.

NSDC, a skill training institution operating under the direct purview of the Government of India, is committed to providing skill training to youth across various sectors and facilitating their employment abroad without the involvement of intermediaries.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Gopakumar, Registrar of Kerala University of Health Sciences, and Mr. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, marking KUHS as the first university in India to collaborate with NSDC for skill training in the healthcare sector.

Under this partnership, nursing students and graduates from Kerala will receive specialized training to secure placements in countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada without any intermediaries.

The scope of the collaboration is set to expand to include courses in the fields of paramedical sciences and pharmacy in the future.
